An extreme fundraising event to promote
The Sarcoma Alliance

Sit back and relax with a nice tall glass of orange Gatorade and a Powerbar and let me tell you a little about our not-so-small adventure.

A few months ago, following the successful finish of the Ocean of Hope Campaign, I was trying to think of a way to further promote the Sarcoma Alliance, when one of my more eccentric race buddies brought Marathon des Sables to my attention. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for a big impact. When I signed up for this project, the only thing I knew about it was that it was a very long distance, a lot of sand and it was very hot. But if you know Suzanne Leider, and all that she's gone through and all that she's done, you would know that you could not find a better reason to commit to an event like this. So, here I am, hundreds of running miles later, a little savvier about the ins and outs of this race and only a short time before I leave for Morocco.
